Welcome to the brain of a booked-out trauma therapist

I’m Helen Billows, a psychologist and accredited EMDR therapist, consultant, and training facilitator. I’ve spent eight years and over 7,000 sessions helping people actually heal, not just cope better.

You’ve done the reading. You’ve tried therapy. You understand the patterns.

Yet they still seem to run the show.

Most trauma content tells you what’s wrong. I show you what you can actually do about it. I’ve dedicated my career to trauma therapy. I hold EMDR accreditation, advanced trauma training, and I supervise other therapists to teach them how to do this work well.

No more reading seventeen articles and still not knowing what to do.

No more contradictory advice.

No more googling “is my reaction normal?” at 2am.

I translate evidence-based trauma therapy into resources you can use. I know what helps. I make it accessible for you.

What my work is built on

AHPRA regulations mean psychologists can’t use client testimonials. Here’s what I can tell you.

I’ve delivered 7,000+ trauma therapy sessions. This is not generalist work — trauma is my entire clinical focus.

I hold consultant-level EMDR accreditation through the EMDR Association of Australia - a level of advanced trauma training that only a small number of psychologists in Australia have.

I’m one of a small number of clinicians chosen to assist in the EMDR training of other therapists across Australia.

People tell me they value that I take trauma seriously, explain it clearly, and stay grounded in evidence rather than trends. I’m also upfront about the limits of what we know, because that’s what clinical honesty looks like.
